Fix Cmd+Z in Type Box (macOS)

An Anki add-on so Command-Z undoes the previous card even when the type-in-the-answer box is focused.

The bug

On macOS, Anki 25.07 and later (Qt 6.7+ / Chromium 118) swallows Cmd+Z whenever a typing field has focus. During review, that means you have to click out of the type box before you can undo the last card. Tracked upstream as Anki #4525.

What this add-on does

Empty type box + Cmd+Z → undoes the previous card (no click-out).
Text in the box + Cmd+Z → undoes typing first; another Cmd+Z undoes the card.
Does nothing on Windows/Linux, and does not change the editor or browser.

Install

From AnkiWeb (after it is published): Anki → Tools → Add-ons → Get Add-ons, then search for Fix MacOS Type Undo.

From this file: Anki → Tools → Add-ons → Install from file…

Restart Anki after installing. Confirm it appears under Tools → Add-ons as Fix Cmd+Z in Type Box (macOS).
